Tim Crakanthorp MP was present at Corroba Oval on the afternoon of Wednesday, 11th December, where he took the opportunity to deliver much-needed grant funds to the Stockton & Northern Districts Women's Team. This significant financial support is aimed at fostering and promoting the growth of Women's cricket in the local area, which has seen an increasing interest and participation in the sport among female participants. The funding will be utilized for a variety of initiatives, including the acquisition of new equipment, and the organization of coaching clinics designed to develop the skills of players at all levels. Crakanthorp emphasized the importance of investing in women's sports, noting that such initiatives not only empower the athletes but also contribute to building a more inclusive and vibrant sporting community. The event was attended by club officials and team members, all of whom shared a common goal of elevating the profile of Women's cricket and ensuring its sustainability for future generations.
