Local cricket supporters are in for a treat in January as Lynn Oval gears up to host three exhilarating matches in the Toyota Australian Country Cricket Championships. The picturesque Lynn Oval, with its stunning ocean views, is all set to witness three intruiging battles as the NSW Country take on Western Australia, Queensland, and Victoria – on January 4th, 8th, and 10th, respectively.
Stockton & Northern Districts Cricket Club has strong representation in the NSW Country Team with Nick Foster (captain), Jeff Goninan, Logan Weston and Josh McTaggart all selected for the Bush Blues after strong campaigns for the Newcastle Team.
Lynn Oval is not just a sporting venue in Stockton; it's a real hub of community engagement. The local community is encouraged to come out in full support of the NSW Country Bush Blues in what is possibly the biggest sporting event that Lynn Oval has ever played host to.
Match One: Lynn Oval Braces for Western Australia Showdown (4th January)
The first of three matches at Lynn Oval will kick off on the 4th of January as Lynn Oval hosts the round two match of the Toyota Australian Country Cricket Championships between the home team, NSW Country and Western Australia.
Match Two: Queensland Clash Reignites Rivaly (8th January)
The NSW and QLD rivalry will come to Lynn Oval on the 8th of January for Round 7 of the Toyota Australian Country Cricket Championships. Well known as Rugby League foes, the rivalry on the cricket field is no less intense with battles between the two states often resulting in thrilling encounters
Match Three: Lynn Oval Hosts Battle Against Victoria (10th January)
The culmination of the Toyota Australian Country Cricket Championships at Lynn Oval will be marked by the third and final match at Lynn against Victoria on the 10th of January. Victoria has been the dominate force in country cricket over the last few years and will provide stiff competition for the Bush Blues.
